Why we want mcall to STAY

Postby CTID loyal on Thu Mar 19, 2009 12:02 pm

1. The players he has signed. They could all play in the league above and id be more than happy if we had signed them in league 1

2. The passion he has. Means he will change his management formulae until he gets it right, he will learn, he want it more than the next man and the one before him; he wants it more than we, the fans, do!

3. The links he has. Rangers connection - Furman, absolute calss act, everytime i have watched him i have said "he is just so good" repeatedly, at everything he does. Sheff UTD - Law, again, what a player, he will play in the championship and in a team that is going for the top league, mark my words. Getting the reserves from these two teams is a win win situation; what a supply of players we could have, some we may even have the chance to sign ourselves. REMEMBER why they play for us.

4. The difference at the club. He, with the backroom staff and everyone else has steadied the ship, he has turned the f*cker 360 degrees and now we are in the RIGHT direction.

The things he needs to do (IMO!!!)

1. Drop Clarke, what a pile of dog turd that guy is, I have said it all season. Hes just a big toy that cuddles everybody, bringing them down; he makes error after error after error; who gave this guy a footballing contract! My darlo fan mate says they laugh at the fact we play him and our prospects are greater than theres so why the hell do we??

2. Bring back Bower. Luton fans have said he has been a revelation for them. I always liked him, especially compared to that clown in point 1.

3. Learn, learn and learn some more; if he can take advice from the more experienced, take criticism from those and fans alike. take on board the things CONSTRUCTIVE (no other) people say; he will become a better manager.

Give the legend that be, more time. He needs it, I want him to have it and you lot should do to.

As the 12th man, let us be with them all the way, we have had some great support all season, please keep that up and not faulter now; it couldbe the difference.

It starts this weekend, Bradford to beat Port Vale is already on my accumulator. City till I die and forever more after.

Without wishing to be a pedant, I think you mean 180 degrees not 360. :D

My heart agrees with what you say. My head tells me your points are full of holes and easy to pick apart but I'm sick of being 'negative' (realistic?) so I'll just keep my finger crossed that we can stop the poor form and turn this overall disapointing season around

Totally agree although one point I have to pick up on is:

1. The players he has signed. They could all play in the league above and id be more than happy if we had signed them in league 1

Unbelievable statement, do you really based on what we have seen Messers Lee, Conlon, To some extent Thorne, Heckingbottom, Mclaren can have an impact on league 1? I think not. Also you slate Clarke yet Graham HOOFER Lee gets away scot free? WTF he is woeful!

Don't think I abused you yesterday mate, just disagreed with you slightly blinkered positivity as I do with some elements of the top post. Technically you started a topic with the header 'Idiots'

Agree with that. You can't class someone and Idiot because their opinion differs from your own. I honestly don't know one true City fan who actually wants McCall to fail, but if he does (and we are at the moment) the honourable thing would be to go. Imagine if he stayed and things got worse? He would be dropping in a lot of peoples opinions then and I would rather remember him as the legend that he is.

I personally would be happier if McCall stayed but Lee & Conlon were the ones to leave. Unfortunately I can't see that happening if he does stay.

yeh ok fair point. it ghets to the point where i just get angry and just start typing without thinking!
but no i dont think lee and conlon should go. probably conlon if we go up. i think clarke is our biggest problem. id love to see McCall recall bower and play him in clarkes postion. and bring O brien back for saturdays game. i dont rate rehmann in the slightest

Exactly BOTO!

I really hope everyone shows how much McCall means to the fans on Saturday. Constant chants of 'Stuart McCall's Bradford Army' would be great? Playoffs or not I think 90% of fans would want him to stay!

Remember the disbelief when the T & A leaked news that Macca was returning home? There was such a buzz it was incredible. I'll never forget that.

I'm not part of the McCall out brigade because I want Stuart to stay for all the reasons people have said, but being passionate and committed to the cause doesn't make you good at your job (speaking in general)
