For re-igniting my passion for this football club Macca I will always be grateful. After years of steady decline, I actually felt inspite of results we were on the verge of turning the corner with you at the helm. We'll never know if that was ever going to happen now, go with your head held high for inspite of mistakes made even by your own admittance, I actually felt you were learning from them and was one of the few it seems prepared to let you continue to learn here & steadily build for the future.

We'll never see another man at the helm here with such a strong affinity for this club, for that your departure is a sad one no matter how poor the results are / have been. I genuinely fear that long term his will come back to haunt us as the BCFC managerial merry go round will no doubt now continue for years to come.

Whoevers "Bradford Army" we now become, I for one won't ever sing that song as loud and proud as I did "Stuart McCalls Bradford Army".

So long old ginger amigo, here's hoping you find employment at your other love north of the border before long.

This post says everything I could have said and wanted to say far better than I could say it.

yep Monks really stirs the emotions...had a real lump in my throat listening to him the radio on the way home satdy... hes proved his status as a legend. The difference between Macca and the sort of mercenaries you get these days couldnt be more stark.

Got back for that too Thrupps, chucked a can of special brew (all they had left in the off licence on Manny Lane when I got there) up to Lee Mills who nearly fell out of the window of whatever building that used to be in the car park trying to catch it.

Unbelievable day when you think about it now. What a season that was.

I'm still gutted that he's gone. Ne never gave less than 100% as a player & I don't believe he ever gave less than 100% as manager. I'm glad it never got to the point of McCall out chants though.
I think given more time & support from everyone at the club he would have brought some success back, but sadly it was not to be.
I think the appointment of Stuart as manager was probably the best thing to happen at VP since Jewell left & hopefully he'll be back again once he's older & wiser

I fully agree with that. Stuart gave us hope and his 100% effort was unquestioned. I'm sad it didn't work out this time around and hope that Stuart still keeps in contact with the club.
