He had a good footballing brain but was weak, he wasnt good enough.

He's only played 14 times for Mansfield this season.

Agree with you in general but he's only played 14 times because of injury.

s weird I know fans have different viewpoints Nix was a good player but the central midfield has been crap with Bullock although Flynn.hasn't been to bad
The wingers have been shayte compared to last seasons embarrassment of riches. Note Daley has been out most of the time.

I agree especially about Bullock

I said at the time if he wanted to play regularly then he'd have to go to the conference. He was not good enough, had no vision and therefore could not release the ball at the right time or to the right person, was continually caught in possession or just plain gave it away. How many times did he hunt somebody down, win the ball, but then give it away?

A great shame as he had a fantastic attitude and if the rest of the team had shown his spirit and effort then we would not collapsed in the final third of last season.

I liked Nix, but he was too slow I'm afraid. Cracking little tackler and a lot of heart, but not good enough for this level though. Where is he now?

At the fans forum this season, Macca was on about Nix and said he didnt have fans upstairs and nodded to ML.

Nix was too weak, flitted in and out of games...We were right to release him.

Nix was more than an able midfielder...9 or 10 goals from midfield in that 2007/8 side haphazardly put together over the summer.

Good vision too, and could pick out a pass and a cracking attitude as well.

Would be a decent player at this level now had he got the games and contract he deserved. 'Good luck to the lad.

Get your phone out and text Rehman, tell him to stop taking a wage from the club, at least Turpin wore a mask when robbing people.

Good attitude??? You've obviously never met Mr Big Time then? The only reason he didn't winge about being on the bench so much was the fact he couldn't actually believe anyone was paying him to be a pro footballer!!

Bloody awful player, he played in all positions on the pitch except his own ! He just couldn't stick to where he was meant to play. He just hasn't got the footballing mind to play the game properly ! Stu did the right thing letting him go.
