Please Stuart...come to the match on Saturday

Postby BCFC-RLZ on Mon Feb 08, 2010 10:30 pm

We need to give him his final goodbye!

Most people had already left when we went round all the stands applauding the fans.

He could have a speech at the end....we could have all shed a few tears together  but no.

A legend like Stuart disserves a much better Goodbye than the one he got on Saturday.

Time to move on. Give the new guy support and hopefully he says it as it is without thinking he is damaging his club about the real issues.

McCall is in the past. Long life the new man.

Nice idea, but think maybe not appropriate. He'll be back to watch us one day, then will be given a spontaneous round of applause etc.

As for "because people had left". Tough. They shouldn't have left and should have stayed until the end.

A speech?? Jesus, this isn't the Oscars.

It would have looked a total farce, and having to speak in the middle of 11,000 people? Wrong time, wrong place. If we knew it was coming e.g was the last game before retirement then yes. But off the cuff like that? It would the same as the moments against Bournemouth and Dagenham last season.

SMC has gone as manager. We can't dwell on the past.

A bit sentimental RLZ.
Macca knew it was time to go and he did it in his own way.

No, time to move on..Macca knows he will always be welcomed back to Valley Parade as a fan in future without the need for a farewell and speeches

Best thing Stuart can do is to take himself and his family on a sunny beach somewhere and have some time out.

Like most people have said mate...Fantastic idea, but it is time to move on now....

The guy is and always will be a Bradford City Legend...! He knows that himself. He also knows that this is his club and can come back anytime he likes....
